Broadwater takes centre stage for Christmas Spectacular
Now in its 17th year at Snape Maltings, the Co-op Juniors Christmas Spectacular featured a cast of around 90, and 750 costumes. As part of the show a little girl ponders what happens when she posts a letter to Santa, as she is then surrounded by elves from Santa’s workshop at the North Pole, while she dreams of Christmas.
Of course, the letter has to get to Santa somehow… This is where Broadwater stepped in, with a GRP Post box from their showroom, commissioned by Royal Mail a few years ago.
Alan Ayres, Technical Director for Co-op Juniors Theatre Company said; “Thanks so much for the loan of your magnificent pillar box for Christmas Spectacular at Snape Maltings, it worked so well. Having a real pillar box made such a difference!”
Established in 1973, Broadwater employs over 180 people across two sites and have become a well-established part of their respective communities. Reaching out and working closely with local organisations and events is crucial as it allows productions such as this to continue and benefit everybody.
Matt Herbert, Managing Director for Broadwater said; “Broadwater is very much a community focussed company, and we’re enormously proud to have been part of the production. It was a pleasure to be of assistance & I’m delighted that it went down so well.”
