At Broadwater Mouldings our team of engineers continue to push the boundaries of what is achievable in the FRP industry and we are on the lookout for like-minded people to join our team, based at the Beccles site.

Trimmer/Finisher

Experience in a similar role would be ideal, although not essential. For people with the right attitude and transferable skills, full training will be provided. Opportunities for Day or Night shifts (Monday to Thursday 17.00 to 03.30) are available.

In return we are offering a competitive rate, between £10.11 – £12.50+/hr for 40hrs per week, along with 20days paid holiday per year (Excl Bank Holidays). Other benefits include free tea/coffee and an early finish on a Friday.

Moulder/Laminator

We are on the lookout for a Laminator/Moulder to join our manufacturing team, based at the Beccles site.

Pack & Despatch Operator (Nights)

It’s also why we are on the lookout for like-minded people to join the Pack and Despatch team on the night shift at our factory in Beccles.

The role offers a chance to be part of a close-knit, fast paced environment – preparing and shipping parts of market-leading quality for the some of the world’s biggest brands.
Experience in a similar role would be ideal, although not essential. For people with the right attitude and transferable skills, full training will be provided. A forklift license would also be an advantage.

This role will be a 10hr shift over 4 nights (17:00-03:30)In return we are offering a competitive rate, between £10.11-£11.21/hr for 40hrs per week

Press Operator

This role involves producing composite mouldings on a hydraulic press. The moulding process starts with gel coat spraying. The reinforcement is placed into the mould, and catalysed resin is introduced. The press is then closed. A short time later the press is opened, and the part is released. This process is repeated up to eight times a day. Experience in a similar role would be ideal, although not essential. For people with the right attitude and transferable skills, full training will be provided. Opportunities for Day or Night shifts (Night shift – Monday to Thursday 17.00 to 03.30) are available at Beccles.

In return we are offering a competitive starting rate of £10.11, rising to £11.21/hr (£11.81/hr nights) after training for 40hrs per week, along with 20days paid holiday per year (Excl Bank Holidays). Other benefits include free tea/coffee and an early finish on a Friday (day shift).

Health & Safety Officer

Reporting to the QHSE Manager, the main objective of this role is to assist with overall maintenance of the company’s QHSE Management Systems. Actively participating in the organisations continuous improvement initiatives ensuring all quality, health safety, environmental and customer requirements are met or exceeded.
The QHSE Officer will be responsible for all daily administrative aspects of Health & Safety and the environment as well has supporting the upkeep of all the ISO management systems.

The successful QHSE Officer day to day duties will include:

  • Champion Health & Safety on site, liaising with QHSE Manager and all departments in the continuation and upkeep of all established Health & Safety processes. Ensure any, and all, accident and incident investigations are driven to conclusion and closed out.
  • Produce, Update and Maintain Risk Assessments in relation to COSHH, PUWER, LOLER and fire.
  • Promote awareness of regulatory requirements throughout the business as required.
  • Providing administrative support of company Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring daily upkeep and tasks are completed as per the QHSE manager’s direction.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and policies are up to date and in line with current legislation and implemented throughout the business.
  • Control the Internal Audit schedule set by the QHSE Manager and ensure, completion of audit reports and effectiveness reviews are completed.
  • Contribute towards staff training appropriate to Quality, Health and Safety and the Environment.
  • Provide Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental reports and data as required.
  • Any other tasks and duties as required by senior management.

The ideal QHSE Officer will have the following experience, skills and characteristics:

  • NEBOSH general qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of standards such as ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 and working with QHSE management systems and the requirements associated with health and safety in a working environment.
  • Proven experience in writing/ completing and reviewing risk assessments including COSHH.
  • Knowledge and experience in completing internal audit and root cause investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create clear and thorough reports, procedures, guidance and a strong administration and organisation skills.
  • Statistical analysis knowledge to apply to operational improvements / investigations. Good level of Literacy and Numeracy. Ability to carry out data collection and analysis resulting in identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Ability and experience in training other team members.
  • Establish good level of cooperation with colleagues with colleagues and parent company.
  • The successful QHSE Officer will need to be flexible as and when the business requires other duties not mentioned in this job description.
  • You will also have the relevant qualifications and experience, be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, organised, analytical, logical, work alone and also as part of a team.

This position is full time 40 hours per week.
In return we offer a competitive salary (circa £30k) commensurate with relevant experience/qualifications
