Broadwater represented at Suffolk Business Showcase in House of Commons

As part of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s Suffolk Business Showcase 2026 initiative, more than 40 senior Suffolk business leaders met at the House of commons on the 22nd April.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Suffolk Businesses to engage directly with Senior Government to ensure that insight from the region contributes to national decision making. The business leaders also had a chance to talk to MPs about how the government can support the county to allow their organisations to grow.
Broadwater’s Group Financial Director and Executive Board Director at Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Mags Humphrey said: As a Suffolk-based manufacturing business competing in a global market, it is important that we have stable business conditions in order to thrive. With legislative and cost pressures increasing, we are operating in an ever more challenging environment.
Among the senior Government representatives were Rt Hon Rachel Reeves, R Hon Darren Jones MP, Lisa Nandy MP and Blair Mc Dougall, all alongside Bill Esterson, the Chair of the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee.
Mags went on to say: “Opportunities like the Suffolk Business Showcase with the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce give our business a unique opportunity to talk directly to those who can provide the stability we need to grow.”
